Pinewood Wedding and Events

One of my absolute favorite wedding venues in the Midwest is Pinewood Wedding and Events – a beautiful venue located in Cambridge, Minnesota. It has tons, and I mean TONS, of amenities to offer. Pinewood includes an indoor/outdoor bar, two luxurious “getting ready” suits, two ceremony sites and beautiful pine backdrops for all of your photos and videos. This Minnesota wedding venue is a perfect venue for couples who want to connect their high end, upscale wedding design with the beauty of nature that surrounds it. The venue is rather new, being built in 2019, with the intent of hosting events and weddings with aesthetics and functionality in mind.

Having filmed a few weddings at Pinewood, I truly fell in love with both the outdoor and indoor aesthetic. Truly any season of the year, you will find Pinewood to be overflowing with beauty. One of my favorite perks is the stunning bride and groom suites. All wedding morning prep can be done on site to ensure beautiful photos and videos of those special moments! The Whim, Minneapolis

 The Whim is a Northeast Minneapolis wedding and event venue that offers a design-ready space! In addition, the never-ending white brick and timber ceilings overhead, allow your imagination to run wild while planning your next event. Recently, I filmed a wedding here that was stunning! From the all white floral, to mix-matched bridesmaids dress, and a fun champagne tower, this black tie wedding at The Whim was perfect!

An Event Space Suited for your Every Need

Located in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis Arts District, The Whim has over 15,000 square feet of never-ending white brick, timber ceilings overhead, and a vibrant romantic vibe. The Whim features a beautiful patio space to ensure your guests can mingle outdoors, play lawn games, and watch the sunset! There are two on-site getting ready areas to allow for a smooth transition between getting ready and the next events. Personally, as a wedding videographer, I love when all of the events can happen at one location. This allows for a more stress-free day and less travel for all parties! The entire venue is inspired by industrial beauty along with European art, making it a perfect space to host your wedding!

A perfect space to host your black tie wedding in Minneapolis

This elegant Midwest wedding venue provides a moody room downstairs that is designed for a top tier luxurious experience. After the ceremony, Brianna and Logan welcomed their immediate family downstairs to celebrate with a champagne tower and a toast! A memory to keep forever as they soaked in that “just married” feeling and shared quality time with family!

The Whim is a true industrial masterpiece

The Whim also offers two mixed-use rooms which can be used for cocktail hour, dessert displays, photo booth areas, additional getting ready spaces, or simply a quiet place to retreat. The options are truly endless! With 89 free on-site parking spaces, you’ll have the opportunity to provide your guests with a VIP experience. Lastly, one of my favorite aspects of The Whim is the endless opportunities for indoor photos. No matter the weather, the indoor spaces are beautiful for all your Pinterest photo ideas! Catalyst Wedding Venue

Next up on the best Minnesota wedding venues of 2024 is Catalyst! Catalyst is a stunning wedding venue located lakeside on Clark Lake in Nisswa. The architecture was designed to highlight the beauty of the lake with every view. This venue has areas for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, and can accommodate up to 225 guests. To ensure all getting ready prep can happen at one location, Catalyst offers two suites with large windows and patio/deck access.

Plenty of Spaces for all of your Guests!

Not only is Catalyst a stunning Minnesota wedding venue, it can also accommodate for your guests with onsite lodging! There are several luxury cabins and hotel rentals available for guests to stay on the property, that each have a minimum 2 night stay.

Juniper Cabin and Sequoia Cabin

The three identical Juniper Cabins are 2 bed/2 bath cabins that sleep a total of 4 guests. They have full kitchens, a fireplace, and a soaking tub. The popular Juniper cabins are inland cabins with forest views. You can enjoy a short walk to Nature Link’s private beach, fire pits, resort amenities, and check-in building. The resort grill station and playground is located right out of your front door! The Sequoia Cabin Residence is an inland cabin located next to the venue, parking lot, and main entrance. It is a 2 bed/2 bath cabin that sleeps 4 people, offers a full kitchen, fireplace, and lofted upstairs with a cozy reading nook.

Spruce Cabins

The Spruce Cabins are each 1 bed/1 bath and are known as the micro cabins that can sleep a total of 2 guests in each. These three lakeside cabins offer spectacular lake views! Located at the heart of the resort next to the on-site event center, these cabins boast a view of Clark Lake with Nature Link’s private island and beach.

Aspen + Redwood Cabins

Currently under construction is the Aspen Cabin which will open May 1, 2024. This cabin is 5 bed/3 bath and sleeps 10-12 people, while also offering a full kitchen, fireplace, and dining room. Aspen is an inland cabin, located next to the main lobby, and across from the on-site event center. The Redwood Cabin is located in the heart of the resort, sleeps 6 with 3 beds/2 baths. This inland, 3 bedroom cabin is the perfect space for larger groups who are there to celebrate an event!

Hotel Suites at Catalyst Wedding Venue

Lastly, the two Cypress King Suites are 1 bedroom hotel suites that sleep 2. They offer a master bathroom with a soaking tub, a private deck overlooking the Catalyst Venue, and are conveniently located next to the main parking lot and event center. These suites are located above the main check-in lobby, so you’re easily able to access the amenities and use that space to lounge and play games. There are also two Cypress Queen Suites, both 1 bedroom hotel rooms with 2 queen beds that sleep 4. They offer a deck overlooking the Catalyst Venue and are located above the main check-in lobby.

What to do near Catalyst wedding venue in Minnesota? Enjoy time on the trails, lake, and explore all that Nisswa has to offer when you stay at Nature Link! This hidden gem of a property, offers many things to do including snowshoeing in the winter, a sauna, winter activities, luxurious soaking tubs, private island, bonfire pits and smores, kayaks, bikes, hammocks, a spacious beach, as well as close access to the Paul Bunyan Trail. Nisswa is also a wonderful tourist destination for people of all ages! You can go shopping downtown, or enjoy one of the many restaurants, golf courses, trails, and more!
