Door County, Wisconsin

As summer 2017 approached, my family decided to plan a small get-away to Door County, Wisconsin. We filled the long weekend with a kayak tour, Segway tour, lounging on the beach, indulging in tasty food, and sight-seeing. My sister and I got a bit carried away with taking pictures by the water, but they all turned out wonderful-as you can see below.

The kayak tour was a 2 hour adventure along the bluffs. My sister and my mom were a bit hesitant, but because I have kayaked before in a large body of water, I was more than excited. Needless to say, the waves and weather was not as cooperative as expected. On the paddle back to our starting point, the gusts of wind and chilly water temperatures made for quite the workout. Once we finally arrived back at land, my mom exclaimed how her feet were numb, so we headed back into the warm vehicle.

Earlier that day, we ate at a delicious restaurant in Sister Bay, therefore we indulged in Frozen Yogurt for dinner. After a relaxing night at the hotel, and free breakfast in the morning, we did some shopping until our Segway tour. I have to admit, the best part of the entire trip was by far the Segway tour. Luckily, my mom, sister, and I were the only ones on the tour, besides the tour guide (who was extremely fun). We had decided upon the Peninsula State Park tour, which was recommended as the best one to do. Needless to say, we had a blast! At first, my mom was a bit nervous, but after she got the hang of it, she was zipping down the road with no hands! We took some great pictures, made a lot of memories, and will check another thing off our bucket list!
