5 Amazing Wedding Venues in the Midwest

Searching for the perfect wedding venue can be a difficult task. Trust me, our first wedding venue burnt down in the Colorado fires and we had to start the wedding venue search all over again! However, I am here to share my top 5 favorite wedding venues in the Midwest with you! Whether you are looking for a blank canvas, a ceremony in the pines, a taste of Italy or a vineyard, I have a few options you must look into!

Pinewood Wedding and Events

One of my absolute favorite wedding venues in the Midwest is Pinewood Wedding and Events – beautiful venue located in Cambridge, Minnesota. It has tons, and I mean TONS, of amenities to offer including an indoor/outdoor bar, two luxurious “getting ready” suits, patio area that includes access to the indoor/outdoor bar and an outdoor fire pit, along with lots of other things. Pinewood is the perfect venue for couples who want to connect their high end, upscale wedding with the beauty of nature that surrounds it. The venue is rather new, just being built in 2019, with the intent of hosting events and weddings with aesthetics and functionality in mind.

Having filmed a few weddings at Pinewood, I truly fell in love with both the outdoor and indoor aesthetic. Truly any season of the year, you will find Pinewood to be overflowing with beauty. One of my favorite perks is the stunning bridal and groom suites. All getting ready can be done on site to ensure beautiful photos and videos of those special moments!

Stunning Wedding Floral at Pinewood

To see an inside peek of Pinewood, I want to tell you all about Alayna and Brandon’s wedding day. The couple planned a stunning and elegant wedding, focusing on each and every detail. The wedding included lots of beautiful, simple, and elegant florals, black, white, and gold accents with a modern minimalist twist. From the all black bridesmaid dresses, to the bright neon sign, Alayna and Brandon truly thought of every detail, and it showed.

Pinewood wedding venue added to the experience even more, with their incredible space which allowed for both parties to get ready inside. It was a perfect August day for an outdoor ceremony, with the ability for it to be moved inside if needed. To accommodate their 150+ guests, the reception space was set up with long tables filled with beautiful votives, floral, and table arrangements. The bride and groom sat at a sweetheart table with a custom built arch behind them! If I still haven’t convinced you how great of a wedding venue that Pinewood is, checkout Alayna and Brandon’s wedding video!

Wedding at Providence Vineyard

The next wedding venue I’ll be sharing is located in between Chicago and Milwaukee, and only a short 20 minute drive from Lake Geneva. Providence Vineyard is a wedding venue that you MUST take a look at. They have the ability to hold up to 275 guests, while offering a 12 hour rental period. On your special day, you have private access to not only the venue and grounds, but also their 30 acre vineyard. At Providence Vineyard, couples have the option of having either an indoor or outdoor ceremony, as well as an indoor or outdoor bar. One of my absolute favorite things about this Midwest wedding venue is the truly blank canvas concept. With the venue being all white, couples have the opportunity to pick a design and color pallet that fits their vision! For Allie and Tommy’s wedding, shown below, they chose for a Bridgerton theme with pops of color, pink napkins, and a stunning tiered cake! Providence Vineyard also has a phenomenal bridal suite, and tons of natural light to bring your photos/videos to life! Check out Allie & Tommy’s midwest wedding below!

Meet Fete of Wales. A wedding venue right out of a romance novel. Fete of Wales is a charming 13 acre property filled with mature oak trees, a lush meadow, and prairie grasses surrounding a serene pond. On top of all these great features, the venue is located minutes away from local restaurants and hotels. The venue allows up to 250 guests, and has many amenities including spaces for your choice of either an indoor or outdoor ceremony space, and even offers “getting ready” suits.

Fete of Wales has a classic white exterior with both white and black interior designs. The venue also has beautiful black folding chairs to create both a classy and moody look! To top it all off, this amazing Midwest wedding venue offers a row boat for couples to take dreamy photos and videos on! Que the Notebook and a romantic movie scene. Northern Haus

Up next on my list of amazing wedding venues in the Midwest is Northern Haus. This wedding venue is located on a 30 acre property in Door County. It offers a serene escape for intimate weddings by blending modern luxury with midwestern chic. If soaring ceilings and beautiful, elegant chandeliers make your ears perk, Northern Haus may just be for you. Not only does this venue seat up to 225 guests, it also allows parking for 110 cars. The venue is conveniently located only 2 minutes from downtown Sister Bay. So many cute places for you to grab food, or find a place to stay for the weekend of your wedding!

Villa Terrace

The final wedding venue on my list is Villa Terrace. Villa Terrace is a sprawling mediterranean villa on Milwaukee’s lakefront and offers wide balconies, stunning gardens, and an incredible view. You can have up to 135 guests for your wedding, along with free on-site parking. The venue is so different from most Midwestern Wisconsin venues, and may be just right for you!
