There’s nothing I love more than bringing a client’s vision to life. Kate and her family wanted to document this incredible family cabin before the remodeling process began. Keep scrolling to see how their family photos at the cabin turned out!
Lifestyle photography is focused on portraying a “slice of life.” For this lifestyle session, I had the opportunity to tell the story behind Kate and her family’s cabin. While some family photographers formally pose their clients to have everyone looking at the camera, a lifestyle photographer typically does the opposite. It involves more candid, and action-oriented photographs, that are then used to tell their own story. Movement plays a huge part in the art of lifestyle photography. A lot of the time, prompts are used to create a lot of movement as it looks beautiful on camera and provides something a little bit different. Another benefit to keeping your subjects moving is that it gives them something to do and helps them to feel more comfortable.
If you’re looking for photos that tell the story of your family, then a lifestyle photoshoot may be for you. The family photos at the cabin below do just that!
Built in the 1920’s, this gem is the only house left on the lake without plumbing! For over 100 years, it has been a special place to gather for the summer and make countless memories. Kate, thank you for allowing me to capture the beauty of your family through photos at the cabin! It was an honor!
