If you are in the search for the perfect, romantic getaway, then look no further than this cozy, modern and beautiful cabin in Crane Hill, Alabama. Located just two hours south of Nashville, this is an Airbnb that needs to be on your wish list.
Having previously stayed with the incredible Airbnb hosts, I knew we had to go back and visit the Starlight cabin. Perched on the cliffs of Smith Lake in Crane Hill, Alabama, this cabin has everything you need for the most romantic stay.
This modern, one of a kind cabin is designed exclusively for couples in mind looking to getaway from it all. An Airbnb in Alabama that gives you privacy, romance around every corner and a place to truly connect. A few of my favorite features include: deep soaking tub, double rain head shower, wood burning hot tub, lake access with paddle boards, and an outdoor shower.
Located on the cliffs of Lewis Smith Lake, this stay is perfect for lake lovers and those who enjoy a little adventure in the water. Starlight Retreat has a brand new dock with paddle boards – free to use and enjoy during your stay. Smith Lake is the deepest lake in Alabama sitting at 264 feet in the deepest area! This lake is a fisherman’s playground, none of which my husband had any luck with during our stay in August. However, we did book a fishing tour with a guide our first time visiting this destination and scored big with some nice striped bass. Check with the locals when visiting if you wish to slay some fish!
This dark, moody, sexy and romantic cabin was an absolute dream to stay at. Starting with the bathroom, it is truly a work of art. Floor to ceiling windows facing the lake were the perfect backdrop and focal point. The black free standing bathtub was perfect for relaxing with a glass of bourbon, or wine, whatever you prefer. Next, an enclosed glass shower featuring two showerheads was romantic, and will no doubt be added to my wish list on our future home.
Moving into the main space, this romantic Airbnb in Alabama features a fireplace, floor to ceiling windows, cooking essentials and a cozy reading loft. I am not kidding when I say, “copy and paste” this into my dream house plans. Everything about it screams oasis, cozy, romantic and spa like. All of my favorite things. The matte black walls, stained floor and ceiling and black trim windows were the perfect choice. We were on a 10-day road trip, so we packed a cooler and had everything we needed to make home cooked meals ,never having to leave the cabin. I highly recommend bringing groceries and drinks so you too can enjoy this stay to the fullest.
The number one question we get asked when we go to romantic Airbnb’s like this one is, “what do you do there?” The truth … a whole lot of nothing. My husband and I live very go, go, go busy lives, and I am sure if you’re reading this, you do as well. While we do love hiking, adventuring and doing the next best adventure junkie bucket list item, we also need a getaway like this.
We would start our morning with coffee and breakfast on the deck while watching wildlife. We then would take a dip in the wood burning hot tub. Most mornings we would do a quick workout outside before heading down to the lake. My husband enjoyed fishing while I would read, and then go for a paddle around the lake. We took naps, played board games, enjoyed a relaxing bath, and would make supper on the grill. At night, we would start the hot tub again or sit by the fire. It was truly one of the most relaxing stays we’ve ever had.
If you want a relaxing getaway like you’ve never had before, I highly recommend staying at Starlight Retreats. You can find more details and the booking link here.
If you want even more seclusion and romance, check out another Airbnb by the same incredible hosts here (blog post coming soon). This treehouse was one of the top 100 stays of the year, and is an absolute dream.
And lastly, if you’re ever in Wisconsin, check out my favorite romantic stay – Owl Ridge Cabin – here. High quality features, a steam shower, and skiing nearby, this is another great stay for two.
