Historic Downtown Madison Wedding Venue

The Tinsmith is a 1925 Madison-original Trachte brothers building that has since been transformed into a stunning and unique event space in downtown Madison, WI. With over 9,000 sq ft of open floor plan 23’ ceilings, and a 1,000 sq ft 4-season solarium, the Tinsmith is the perfect venue for your wedding/event!

This historic wedding venue was expertly designed in order to look amazing with any color palette and design vision. Live greenery fills the solarium bringing the nature element to the historic setting. The classic black and white chairs add to any modern vision! And my favorite space is the beautiful bar with such an epic design.

Top Tier Amenities

The Tinsmith is able to hold a total of 200 wedding guests, and offers a ton of amenities! The modern wedding venue includes lounge furniture, 15 cocktail tables, greenhouse plants, onsite venue staff and bartenders, private client suite with private bathroom, furniture set up and breakdown, projector/screen, mobile bar/custom bar, dimmable lighting throughout, catering kitchen, private gated patio space, and it’s pet friendly!

Ceremony Space Perfect for Your Wedding

The unique ceremony hall at the Tinsmith is the PERFECT place to host ceremonies, regardless of the size. Included with your rental rate are chairs for 200 guests, ceremony backdrop, as well microphones and speakers.

Cocktail Hour fit for a King and Queen

For cocktail hour, you and your guests can enjoy the magnificent 4 season solarium which is both heated and cooled, in order to keep everyone comfortable. You never have to worry about the weather when choosing the Tinsmith as your wedding venue! The solarium comes fully furnished with standing cocktail tables, lounge furniture, cafe lights, and year round greenery.

Stunning Reception Space

Last, but not least, is the reception space. It is 5000 sq ft featuring 23’ ceilings, massive skylights, and a custom bar. It fits tables and chairs for up to 200 guests, as well as offers the use of the second-floor loft, microphone, projection screen, Wi-Fi, and dimmable lights! This venue also has a great spot out front where food trucks can be parked!
