The pressure to have a perfect wedding day was real. After filming 175+ weddings I’ve known what it looks like to have a perfect day. When everything goes to plan. You are quite literally having the time of your life. You are stress free and truly soaking in the newlywed bliss with the love of your life. I wanted that.
After our wedding day I spiraled into a post wedding blue state of mind. All the “could have been”, what ifs, and moments we missed out on. I was really sad honestly.
If you’re new here … After the venue shut down our wedding due to the snowy road conditions, we headed back to our hotel room 6 hours early to celebrate with our loved ones and ring in the new year. At one point I looked around the room, and became overwhelmed with sadness. My sister and mom by my side as I cried thinking this is not how it was supposed to be. It was supposed to be perfect.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there were moments in the chaos that were absolutely beautiful. Marrying my best friend. Our family covered in snow, the absolutely dreamy photos and videos we got, touching speeches, and of course the memories of being stuck on the side of the mountain towing our shuttle of guests up the hill. Memories that will be talked about forever, but memories I never planned for.
On October 11, 2024, my husband and I celebrated 10 years of being together. We had a trip booked to Colorado when the idea popped into my head. Let’s go back.
This day was everything I imagined and more. It was perfect. The weather was phenomenal, the sunset was insane, the views were 10/10. My husband looked fine AF, and I felt SO pretty and happy. Being back and experiencing this was a memory I’ll never forget.
